Happy graduation!

My nephew Will graduated from Oklahoma Christian University on Friday with degrees in Mechanical Engineering and History — yup, he’s smart.

I’m so proud of all he has accomplished. While at OCU, he toured with New Reign as their sound man and a vocalist. He was the technical director of the school’s SpringSing for three years — a huge undertaking that put him in charge of sound, lighting and the sets for the show. With all of that going on, he managed to graduate with two degrees.

It is hard to believe that my nephew, who often felt more like my little brother because we were only 9 years apart, is leaving college and entering the job market. I’m feeling a little old today. But I’m so proud of him and the wonderful man that he has become. Love ya, Will!
