Things got interesting this weekend. The Allens and the Smiths made it to our house by Saturday evening. We were enjoying a good visit. Until last night. At about 10 p.m., Matt came upstairs and announced, “We have a leak.” He had walked down our stairs and discovered about 3 inches of water in our crawl space. Ugh. I had been hearing water running in our back bathroom all day, but I just assumed I was hearing the plumbing from the other bathroom. I was wrong. Oops.
So late last night, Matt and James start searching for the leak. They shut off the main water line to the house. Yup, a house full of 10 people and no water. Wouldn’t you want to be hanging out with us?
Luckily, the guys found the leak. They were also able to get to Wal-Mart before the weather got really bad (am I the only one who heard the weathermen saying a light dusting of snow, not inches?!) and found the needed parts to clamp the pipe. So we’ve been able to slow the leak to a small trickle and turn the water back on to the house. Yay for toilets!
Now we just have to get a plumber out here to replace the cracked pipe. That might happen once we’re all able to shovel ourselves out.:)

Oh no! Glad you have water again, especially with all the bad weather today.
Oh man – that sucks!
No!!!! I’m so sorry. That’s horrible!
3 inches of water is never good.
