A week or so ago, many of the moms here posted pictures of their kids’ first haircuts. Alaina is too little to partake in that ritual yet, so I posted a picture of her crazy hair. The picture I had didn’t do justice to her flyaways. So here’s a more recent one.

Yavonda Chase is the international editor for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. She and her husband, an English instructor at Pulaski Technical College, have just welcomed their first child, an adorable little girl, into the world. Two cats, Shadow and Chloe, and a puggle named Ginger round out their North Little Rock household.
